Free Story #16 - Foretold (Chapter 6)

When the hug was over, Shadow seemed to be calm, well more so than he had been when we had first met. After saying goodbye to Markus, we started to walk back to my car which was parked outside my parent's house. To be honest I wouldn't have been surprised if Dad would have vandalised it but when we got there, it was completely untouched.

I checked the car for signs of any explosives, hey you can never be too careful and after giving the all clear, I unlocked the doors. Shadow looked at me with an expression that seemed to ask if it was ok to get in, I smiled and tried to place an expression to answer with a yes. He climbed in the back seat and Doug followed to keep him company.

After getting in the driver's seat myself, I turned the ignition and pulled off onto the road, after putting my seatbelt on of course.

On the journey back to the flat, we decided to try and get to know each other a bit better. After all, if we were going to be living together we should at least know the bare basics. Or wolf basics if you wanted to be serious about it.

"So how long have you been together?" Shadow asked me.

For a second, I had to think. It seemed like a lot longer ago than it had been but it had literally only been eight weeks since we met.

"About two months. I met Doug on the full moon"

"Bit quick to have me then" Shadow laughed. I was glad he had my sense of humour if nothing else.
"Taylor didn't actually know we could have you to be honest" Doug said calmly.

For a minute, I wondered if Shadow would be hurt or offended by Doug's statement but he kept a genuine smile on his face. Much to my relief.

"Are a lot of Moonborns are born by accident?" I asked Doug. It wasn't obvious to me if a lot of couples had children this way so I thought it was fair to ask him, to both give me the knowledge and to be absolutely sure that Shadow knew that he wasn't a mistake.

"It usually doesn't happen until they've been together a few years but I guess in our case it happened sooner rather than later. A lot of couples aren't told about it and then when it does happen, they deal with it as best they can" Doug said after a moment.

"So if you hadn't known, Markus would have explained it?" Shadow asked.

"Yeah" Doug replied.

Before we could do anything else, we had arrived at the flat. When I parked, I suddenly realised that Shadow would have nowhere to stay. The flat only had two bedrooms and I wasn't sure Zoe and Arc would want to share.

"You getting out?" Doug asked me with a laugh.

Snapping out a trance I hadn't known I had entered, I noticed he had opened the door for me. When I shut the door and clicked the lock, I turned to see Shadow standing in the front garden. Well, lawn.

"You ok?" I asked him.

After a moment, he turned to me. His expression seemed to be a mixture of many different things. Too many for me to decipher.

"I think so, it's still so new to me" his voice wasn't anxious, more like when you recover from the best experience of your life.

"You're not angry about what I said are you?" I asked. I knew I had asked before but as a parent, what
"You're worried about me being offended by the fact you didn't know you could have me?" Shadow said after a moment.

I nodded carefully after a moment.

"There's no need. I have life thanks to the two of you, and I love you, no matter how it happened"
The relief of his words swept through me like a tsunami. He gave me a brief hug then ruffled my hair.
"Don't get all soft on me Dad" he joked.

After a second, I realised what he meant and smiled.

"Wouldn't dream of it" I laughed and together, we walked to the front door of the flat. Doug had already let himself in and was talking to Arc who had watching TV. The shapeshifter turned to face us after a second and smiled.

"Hey Tay, who's your friend?" Arc asked.

Me and Doug exchanged a nervous look. Eventually I felt it would be best if we told him the truth.
"Arc, this is Shadow, he's my, or should I our son" I said, When I had directed Doug to be included, I waved my arm in his direction.

I didn't know how long Arc was speechless for, but in the end he laughed. But when he saw no change in expression in either of our faces, his expression soured.

"You're not joking?" He asked at no one in particular.

When he didn't get an answer, he got off the sofa and stepped away slowly toward Zoe's bedroom door.
"But how?" was all he managed to say.

"Shadow is a Moonborn" Doug explained.

The term didn't seem to be familiar to Arc.

"He was born using the magic of the moon" I added.

Arc stopped moving. He was shaking slightly.

"You used magic to make a son?" he asked slowly.

"To be honest, it was an accident" I said with a blush.

"What, did you drop your athame in the wrong cauldron?" Arc asked. His voice was shaking and his arms were trembling slightly like when you see a partly set jelly being tested.

"It wasn't black magic, it happened when me and Doug were in perfect balance with each other, Markus used a spell on the moon to give us both something to love" Doug explained.

Arc stopped shaking. I knew he had always assumed people created magical sons and daughters out of dark forbidden arts but now he thought about it, he knew Doug and I weren't dark practitioners.

"So, he's not the product of evil magic then?" Arc asked slowly.

"No" I replied firmly.

His face flushed and he sighed.

"Guys, I'm sorry. You must think I'm a total douche" he said after a moment.

"No way" Doug answered.

"At least not for that reason" I joked.

Arc saw the humour and laughed. He walked over to Shadow and shook his hand.

"Nice to meet ya mate" he said.

"Likewise" Shadow replied.

Before anyone could move, there was a knock at the door. I went over and opened it carefully. On the doorstep was my mother, Helen and Gran. They each had a small bag with them and looked shaken but determined.

"Hey Taylor, can we come in?" Helen asked.

"Sure, what's the problem?"

"It's Dad, he's kicked us out"

-

Ten minutes later, we were in various positions in the living room. Mum had taken the chair, Gran had taken the single chair and Helen was stood by the kitchen counter, her hand shaking. Arc had made everyone a cup of tea and the new visitors had taken them gratefully. Me and Doug were stood by the sofa and Shadow was sat on the three piece suite, next to Arc.

Eventually, Helen spoke.

"So how long have you been one?" she asked me.

"I only changed last night for the first time" I answered.

"How was it?" Gran asked.

I looked at her and she smiled.

"Incredible Gran, apart from a few surprises it was the best thing to happen in a very long time"

Mum's ears pricked up.

"Surprises?" she asked.

"He didn't know about our customs" Doug explained.

She turned to face him with a look of intense curiousity.

"Customs? Like what?"

"How we deal with certain members who disobey the pack order, your son didn't of course but he saw what happened to those who do"

Mum relaxed at this. As much as she could.

"Why didn't you tell us you were dating a werewolf?" Helen asked. The last word in the sentence came out strained. Like when you are trying to squeeze the last bit of toothpaste from a tube.

"We only started dating two months ago" I replied.

"Seems a bit quick for him to change you" she asked after a moment.

"It wasn't planned" Doug said with slight hesitation.

Helen put her mug down quickly and glared at him.

"What did you do to my brother?" she shouted.

Doug wanted to answer but he couldn't. He was so surprised at her reaction and guilty for breaking up their home just as I was. A second later, he ran through the room and into the bedroom, slamming the door after him.

I turned to Shadow and signalled to the bedroom door. He got my silent message and went into the bedroom after him. After I had done this, my attention turned to Helen.

"Helen, he had no choice. It was a life or death situation"

"What did he do?" she growled.

"It wasn't him. His ex-boyfriend went insane and tried to kill him. Then he tried to kill me. The only way I could have survived was if he changed me"

Helen processed the information and sighed.

"Did I do it again?" she asked.

"Yeah" I said softly.

"I'm sorry Tay, I didn't mean to jump to conclusions like that"

"It's not me you have to apologise to, but thanks" I said calmly.

Almost as if it were planned, Doug and Shadow came out of the bedroom. Doug had cried a little but he was mostly alright. Helen walked over to him and gave him a hug. Doug bristled at first but then he accepted the embrace.

"Tay explained everything, I'm sorry Doug" she said softly.

Tears fell from his eyes and she rubbed his back carefully to sooth him. Once he was finished, Helen wiped his face with a tissue she had up her sleeve and smiled.

"Thank you" Doug said softly.

"Don't mention it" Helen replied.

After a second, Mum looked at Shadow. He returned her look and smiled carefully. Returning the smile, she faced Gran who in turn looked at me.

"I see you have Markus to thank for that young man there" she said in that knowing way old women always seem to have.

"What has Markus got to do with him?" Mum asked her.

Gran looked at me and Doug. She seemed to ask if it was ok if I told her the truth. I made the same look at Doug and he did to me. As if it were automatic, we turned to Gran and nodded. She cleared her throat and began.

"You know when I told you about my ex-boyfriend after you were born? The one who had two dads?"
Mum thought back.

"Yeah, Frank wasn't it?"

"He was a Moonborn dear, he had no mother. They were both his parents"

Mum seemed familiar to the term. She looked at Shadow then turned to look at the two of us.

"He's your son?" she asked me finally. I nodded once again. I was going to get a stiff neck if I didn't stop.
"I'm a gran?" she asked herself. For a second, she seemed uncertain but then she smiled.

"Better now than when I'm in my sixties" she laughed.

"Guess you're an aunt then Helen dear" Gran smirked.

Helen looked at us with complete bewilderment. But before she could say anything else, there were three large knocks on the door.

I sighed and went to answer it.

"If it's trick or treaters, you're too early" I said jokingly and opened the door. I had to jump back pretty sharpish because there was a large figure on the other side of the door.

It was Campbell, and he looked pissed.

A second later, he strode into the room, not talking to anyone. I carefully closed the door and turned to see what was wrong. It must have been something horrible because I had never seen the alpha werewolf this angry before.

He stood by the window, letting everyone get an inkling of how he felt. Even without second sight, it was incredible just how powerful his aura was, it gave everyone in the room a feeling of foreboding.
Eventually, Campbell spoke.

"One of our kind was just shot" he said with a faux calm tone.

Doug got to his feet.

"Who?" he asked.

"Andrew" he said after a moment.

Everyone gasped without realising it. Andrew had been one of the new members of the pack so it had been easy for the assassin to take him out. I thanked heaven that he survived. Even though I wasn‟t religious.

"Who did it?" Arc asked Campbell. It was the question that no one wanted to know the answer to, but we needed to hear it.

"A man named Graeme Michaels" he said after a moment.

I suddenly felt sick. Dad had been serious when he said he would kill my new brethren. Campbell walked over to me and held me with a tight but gently grip on the throat.

"Did you know?" he asked. His voice was quiet but a threat was clearly present.

"No" I answered after a moment.

For a second, he looked at me. But then, he relaxed and let go of my throat. Staying silent was the best thing to do I realised. Otherwise, Campbell would have had reason to question me further because my eagerness to prove myself might have looked suspicious in itself.

"Campbell, I’m so sorry" I said after a moment.

He looked at me with somber eyes.

"I know it’s not your fault" he said.

"But it is, if we hadn’t gone round to my parents, he wouldn‟t know"

Campbell blanched.

"You told them?" he asked firmly.

"No, his dad found out himself" Doug said.

For the third time in the space of a few minutes, the alpha werewolf regained his composure. I could tell Campbell didn’t blame me, but it wasn’t exactly an easy situation to deal with.

"He must have smelled your scent"

Campbell mused after a second.

Doug shook his head.

"That’s impossible, I was wearing my deodorant"

Campbell sighed.

"Hunters can smell through it"

Doug looked taken aback but he didn’t go any further. He knew, as we all did, that what was done and was done. As long as Andrew was alive, everything was ok. For now.

He turned to face Shadow and smiled.

"See you’ve been busy" he said with a smirk.

"Someone beat you to that joke" I laughed with a nod at Arc.

Campbell laughed.

"I’d better get back to the hospital, check on Andrew" he said after a moment.

He walked toward the door. But he turned back to us after a moment.

"I know he’s your father Taylor, but if he proves to be dangerous, we may have to take drastic steps"

I respected his honesty and I acknowledged him with a nod. Expecting to see the family take offence to this, I looked at them. Gran looked resolute in her disgust toward her son-in-law, Mum looked as if she hated him with all her might and Helen looked as though if Dad ever spoke to her again, she would punch his lights out.

After a moment, my attention was drawn back to Campbell by his throat being cleared. I noticed it was a habit of his that he only did upon leaving a room. I was ninety nine percent sure it wasn’t anything to do with the fact he was dual-natured.

"Arlena, keep them safe for me" Campbell asked my gran.

Gran nodded and smiled.

"Of course I will" she said.

After this, Campbell went through the front door and closed it behind him. For a moment, we were all silent, lost in our own trains of thought. At that point, Arc got to his feet.

"So, who wants another drink?" he asked.

Free Story #14 - Foretold (Chapter 4)

This part contains strong language and sexual scenes. Just so you know. :)

-

I woke up next morning feeling hungry, very hungry. Not really surprised, I got up and looked around. Some of the others had gone but most were still around. After some effort, I got to my feet and walked around for a bit.

A hand placed itself on my back. I spun round to see Campbell and Jenna. They laughed at my surprise and threw my clothes down in front of me.

"How did you get …?" I asked.

"Doug went and got them from your car when you were asleep" Jenna answered. I was highly grateful to my boyfriend at that point because although a lot of the others weren't modest, I was.

Speaking of Doug, he came up behind me and gave me a hug. I spun round and gave him a grateful lick. After a second, he sniffed carefully and winced.

"We'd better get you in the shower" he joked.

"And you, you smell like a pig sty" I laughed.

After a second, he put his clothes back on and we walked back to my car. When I was driving along, I was amazed how calm I was about everything; I mean we had lost two pack members last night, one who was innocent and one who was a manipulative prick. And in some ways, it was hard to tell which was which.

As soon as we parked next to the flat, I saw Arc was outside in his cat form. I got out and stroked him gently. He grimaced as much as cat could and shifted back into the human form.

"Morning guys. Enjoy last night?" he asked.

"Was a bit strange, but the best night of my life" I replied.

"He was fine" Doug reassured him and hugged me gently.

"He'd better be, otherwise Zoe will flip" Arc laughed.

We all agreed that point. Zoe may flip out at times, but she cared about her friends and family more than any other person I knew. Arc suddenly realised that he was naked in a public place and covered himself carefully with his right hand.

"I'd better go and put some clothes on" he said. And with that, he went inside the house, leaving the door slightly ajar. Not wasting a second, me and Doug went through the front door to find Zoe sat on the sofa watching a DVD.

When she saw me, she smiled broadly and gave me a massive bear hug. After her outburst of emotion, she brushed her fringe from her face and looked me over carefully.

"No bones broken?" she asked.

"Nope, But I need a shower"

She sniffed and winced just as Doug had done.

"Too right you do" Zoe said flatly.

Me and Doug laughed and I rubbed Zoe's hair out of shape. She swore loudly at us as we ran to the shower room and Doug shut the door just as she threw at a pillow at us.

Once I had set the shower up, I climbed in. Doug waited outside for his turn. At least he did for a minute. When I had washed my body clean, he climbed in as well and grabbed the sponge from me.

"I'll be done in a few seconds" I falsely protested, knowing that he would see the joke.

"So will I" growled Doug seductively and licked my shoulder. It sent a wave of pleasure through me and before I knew it, I was kissing him. He gratefully accepted the gesture and we used our hands to stimulate the others equipment and stroke the others skin.

A few minutes after our make out began; we cried out in pleasure and came. Doug climaxed first so I bent down to suck him off as he ejaculated. When he was finished, I licked my lips and swallowed gratefully. When I came, he worked it harder than he had ever done before causing me to moan in pleasure as he drove me over the edge.

After I was done, he swallowed too and we commenced to clean ourselves properly. But of course we kissed a few times along the way.

When we were dry and dressed in new clothes, we went through to the living room to find Zoe and Arc drinking a coke in the kitchen area.

"Good shower?" Zoe asked.

"Oh yeah" I replied.

"It was perfect" Doug said with a dream like tone to his voice. I laughed and lightly cuffed him. Zoe sighed but before she could say anything, the phone rang. Seeing as how I had just come back, I decided to take the phone this time.

I clicked the receiver to answer the call.

"Hello?"

"Hey Taylor, It's Helen. Don't forget about tonight"

I froze for a second. Tonight was the night I was going to introduce Doug to my family.

"I didn't forget" I lied.

"Sure" Helen said sarcastically. She knew me too well. After all if your own sister can't tell, who can?
"See you at seven" she said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Okay, see ya then" I said and hung up.

I gulped. Walking back into the kitchen, I reminded Doug about tonight. He was slightly concerned I could tell but he didn't let it spoil his mood. For the rest of the day, we hung out with Zoe and Arc in the flat, sharing stories about shape-shifting and various things.

When quarter to seven came around, we were ready to leave. Zoe and Arc were leaving at the same time as us so when we had all left, Zoe locked the front door and dropped the key in her bag.

"Good luck guys" she said and she and Arc started walking toward the place of their date. In this case it was the cinema.

After watching them leave, Doug got into my car and I joined him after making sure the front door was locked. We drove to my parents semi-detached, got out of the car and waited for seven o'clock to arrive.
As soon as it did, we walked up the drive, not sure if tonight was going to be a success or a massive disaster. In a way, it was both.

-

I had made sure we dressed smart casual, or as close as we could get without being too upper class.
Doug wore a black t-shirt with no logo and a pair of blue jeans whereas I wore a white polo shirt with blue and red stripes with a pair of three quarter length shorts. Admittedly it wasn't the weather for them but I figured it was best to wear light clothing given the situation tonight.

We had decided to tell them about us, but not to tell them about what had taken place in the last few months. After all, they wouldn't believe a word until we showed them, and that was against the rules.

"Do you think they'll like me?" Doug asked me.

"They'll love you, just as I do" I replied and licked him.

He smiled and licked me back, making sure to get my favourite spot just above my left eyebrow. After straightening our shirts, I pressed the doorbell twice and waited.

The door opened quickly to reveal the figure of Michelle Michaels, my mother. She was fifty five, with brown hair straight out of a bottle and a smile that could charm an asexual man to give her a good seeing to. Which is no mean feat. Her dress was made of lavender silk and seemed to be held up by nothing more than her upper body weight. She wasn't fat, but she had a firm chest.

"Taylor!" she said and gave me a kiss.

Thankfully on the cheek that didn't have werewolf slobber on it.
"Hey mum" I said and kissed her back. In the background I could see my sister Helen, she had just turned twenty nine and had platinum blond hair, blue eyes and a figure like that of a supermodel. She wasn't vain in any way, but she had been blessed with good looks.

"Hey bro, long time no see" she said.

"Nice to see you too Helen" I answered.

Even though I couldn't see him, I could tell that Doug was slightly nervous. I turned back to him and smiled.
"Mum, this is Doug, my new boyfriend" I said. Half of me almost said 'mate', but then I remembered that she was human and not supernatural.

"Nice to meet you Mrs Michaels" Doug said and gave her a brief hug.

"Please, call me Michelle" she answered and did the French kiss thing. Behind her back, I rolled my eyes.
"Is that you son?" came a voice from upstairs.

My father Graeme came down the stairs; he had the looks of Brian Krause combined with the guy who plays Nathan Patrielli in Heroes. Add about ten years to the both of them and you got my dad. He was wearing his usual attire of a West Ham football shirt and tracksuit bottoms. Which to be honest was a relief. Casual clothes meant that he was less likely to accept me and Doug.

My family had accepted my homosexuality with open arms. It wasn't something we went into great deal about, but at least it wasn't like dust swept under a rug.

"You must be Doug" Dad said and shook his hand.

"Yes sir" Doug replied.

"Please, call me Grae, everyone does, apart from my son and daughter anyway" he said, laughing at the last part of his sentence.

A few seconds of silence ensued, broken suddenly by a voice from the kitchen area.

"If you don't get back in here Michelle the mushrooms are going to be frazzled" came the familiar voice of my grandmother Arlena.

"Coming!" Mum said and scooted on through to the kitchen to help my grandmother.

Dad smiled at me and we bumped fists, as men do. He went into the living room and Helen went down the stairs to join him.

"Fancy going to meet my gran?" I asked Doug.

"Sure, if there's room in the kitchen" he said.

"There's always room in my kitchen for you" I purred.

"Oh really" Doug purred back and we joined our lips for a brief moment. After our brief encounter, we walked into the kitchen to find my grandmother and Mum preparing a meal fit for royalty.

"Hey gran" I said and hugged her.

"Good to see you too" she laughed and hugged me back. For a minute she didn't let go. It was almost as if she were trying to find something.

"You've been walking in the wilds" she whispered in my ear.

I should have known she would guess something had changed about me. Arlena is one of those women who knows everything and can find dust in a matchbox. Tonight she was wearing a red shawl with matching embroidery and simple earrings in the shape of moons.

She may not look it but isn't frail by any means. If anything she looks great for her age. She was in her eighties at least but she looked only just ten years older than her daughter. Which to be honest now I thought of it seemed a bit peculiar.

She got to her feet and shook Doug's hand.

"And you must be Douglas are you not?" she asked.

Doug nodded and she smiled.

"It's alright my dear, I won't bite. Except on a full moon night" she said shrewdly and winked at him. Doug took a moment to realise she was making a quip. Once he did, he laughed.

After that, Mum asked if we could take some washing and put it in the tumble dryer in the shed. I agreed and Gran insisted on coming too. I knew I wouldn't be able to shift her, not that I would want to so I agreed.

When we got to the shed, Gran went in first and plugged in the dryer whilst I loaded it, when I had finished, I shut the door and clicked it to spin for half an hour. When I turned to talk to Gran, I thought she had gone. But that was impossible, the only way out was through the door.

It was then I heard a loud barking noise. I looked down to see a cream coloured werewolf on the floor, and she was wearing my grandmothers red shawl on her head.

"Gran?" I said.

"What's the matter dear? Never seen a werewolf before?" she laughed.

I did a double take, and gaped at my grandmother. I could only think of two words to sum up the situation.
"Holy shit"

A minute of silence later and I still had only spoken those two words. Gran shifted her paws and waved her tail briefly before she spoke. So that's what wolves looked like when embarrassed. I had done the exact same thing in the woods.

"Well that's better than how your mother took it" Gran said in her deep wolven voice.

My voice had gone. I tried to talk but it was no use.

"You're, You're …." I stuttered.

My grandmother laughed as well she could.

"A werewolf, just like you dear" she finally stated.

I still was speechless. She licked my hand and stepped back to give me room to process this.

"But how come Mum isn't?" I finally spurted.

"I was bitten after your mum was born. On my fiftieth birthday"

That definitely explained why she looked younger than she was.

"But why tell me now?" I asked her.

"Because I felt sooner rather than later was the best choice. I know Campbell, he was the one who ordered the attack on the one who bit me. He's a good man, both disciplined and strong"

Half of me was angry at Gran for keeping this from me, but another part of me knew why she had kept her other self a secret. If she had been let near anyone in her other form, who knows what people would have said?

She transformed back into her human form and got dressed. I averted my eyes until she was finished and then when she walked over to me, I hugged her.

"Thank you Gran, for sharing your secret with me" I said.

"Thank you for sharing yours" she said.

For a moment I was shocked, but then I realised she could sense I was a werewolf. I decided to ask Gran a question.

"How did you tell I was?" I asked. No one had ever told me how to detect a werewolf in human form. Not that I ever needed to up until now.

She rolled her eyes and whispered in my ear.

"Just sniff"

I laughed at the simplicity of it and after another hug, we closed the shed and went back into the house. In a way, I wish I hadn't. Doug and Dad were in the living room, facing each other. Their body language showed they were on the verge of attacking and Doug looked like he could shift at any moment.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked.

"This bastard is a werewolf" my dad replied.

For a moment I wondered how he knew. It was then I noticed Farrell, my father's best friend sitting in one of the chairs. He was fondling a gun in his left hand.

"Dad? What is he doing here?" I asked.

"I asked him to come here. It was just a coincidence he happened to have the gun on him but all the same, it is useful" my father sneered.

"And I'm glad he did" Farrell said and got to his feet. "Otherwise I wouldn't have the pleasure of killing another lycanthrope"

Doug tensed, growled and shifted. He roared in anger and leapt through the window, smashing it to smithereens. Farrell started to go after him but my father held him back.

"It's no use, you can't go after him now, he's probably alerted the pack by now" he said.
He turned back to me with a look of revulsion.

"How could you bring a werewolf into our house?" he roared.

For a moment, I quaked in fear, but my new instincts rose above his futile anger and gave me the indestructible courage I needed to face the man I had submitted to my entire life.

"Because I love him Dad, he's human just like you are! And judging by the way you just acted I'd say he's more so"

His face contorted.

"You're defending a monster!"

"I'm defending my boyfriend!" I roared back.

"If you expect to be welcome under this roof again, you'd better not see him again or any other werewolf for that matter"

He was trying to threaten me, it wasn't going to work.

"It's a bit late for that Dad, because I'm one too!"

I drew up my arm and showed him the faint outlines of the bite he had given me. My father looked disgusted once again, but now it was ten times worse. He picked up the dining room table and flung it across the room like it was a piece of paper.

"GET OUT!" He roared at me.

My mum and gran came in with an expression of confusion on their faces.

"What is going on?" Mum asked.

"Your son is a werewolf thanks to his flea ridden rent boy!" my father shouted.

Mum looked shocked as well. But not as shocked as she could be.

"Well, aren't you going to throw him out? Or shall I?" my dad asked her.

Tears started to fall from my Mum's eyes. She left the room without a word and my gran followed her. Helen left the room shortly after as well to go upstairs. We couldn't see it but all of them had shock on their face because of the whole situation. And I didn't know it yet, but if they had been able to face up my father, they would have been disgusted with him.

"Why do you care so much about werewolves?" I growled.

"Because I am a hunter. Both me and Farrell are. It's what we do. We kill the bastards and make sure they can't reproduce. And guess what, that's what I am going to do to your mutt!" he snarled, laughing maniacally at the last statement.

The wolf in me snarled in anger. I let it roar directly at my father, using my human throat to convey the sound.

"You are not going anywhere near my mate!" I bellowed. Then, I walked up to him and punched him right in the face. Farrell stepped forward to help his comrade, aiming the gun at me to be sure I wouldn't try again, but I wasn't frightened. My father's spirit hadn't been dampened by the attack.

"Your mate?" he laughed. "Well that's a romance that's going to end in tears"

I turned and walked towards the front door. As I opened it, I looked back to see Farrell nursing my dad's wound. When they looked at me, pure ire burned through my eyes.

"If you do, Dad or not, I'll rip your fucking throat out" I snarled.

As I said the last sentence, I slammed the door.

Free Story #10 - Guided (Chapter 10)

Here it is, the final part. This part contains more scenes of a sexual nature. So you can't say you weren't warned. :)
-

After blinking several times, I found myself looking at the ceiling in my living room. A quick pinch of my arm told me I was definitely awake, and alive, much to my great relief. A faint metallic smell filled the air and looking at my chest, I saw the dried blood on my chest and on most of my clothes.

I tried to move, but every bone in my body was stiff and aching. I managed to sit up after a minute of effort. Looking out the window, it was still dark, how long had I been asleep?

Looking at the clock, I noticed it was the same day; it must have been only two or three hours at best.
Campbell was asleep in one of the armchairs and Jenna was asleep in the one right by him. About three hours ago, they were sworn enemies but now, they looked long lost friends. Which judging by the kissing display only a few hours before, they probably were.

I hobbled into the kitchen and poured myself a drink of water. After drinking it and turning back to face my bodyguards, a puff of green smoke came from the corner of the room and Markus appeared with a smile. His green jacket had been changed for blue.

"How you doing?'" he asked me.

"A bit stiff but I'm ok" I replied.

Looking up at him, he looked very nervous.

"What's wrong?" I asked him. Markus shifted quietly from one foot to the other for a few seconds.

"Seeing as how you are no longer human, you don't need me to be around anymore" he said sadly.
My jaw dropped. That was something I hadn't expected when I had agreed to become a supernatural being.

"But you'll come visit right?" I asked him.

"Course I will. But right now you need to talk to your new brethren"

He looked at me in a way that seemed to suggest it wasn't the last I would see of him. In a puff of smoke, he was gone. I heard yawning from the other side of the room so I turned away from the kitchen to look into the living room.

Campbell had woken up and Jenna followed suit a few seconds later. They smiled when they saw I was now conscious and walked over to me.

Campbell cleared his throat and finally, looked directly at me.

"I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot Taylor. I still can't find it in my heart to trust humans. But after what you did for Doug, it was the least we could do to make you one of us"

To see the man with a strict moral code that was Campbell being kind was a surprise. But it was nice to see all the same.

"I give you my word that if you ever need me, I'll be there"

I suspected he only was doing it because we were now the same species, but I appreciated it all the same. After all, I was going to need all the friends that were possible in this new world.

Jenna put her arm around me and let me feel the embrace I had been longing for. I hadn't realised I needed it. But clearly I had without knowing it, because I started crying into her chest.

From nowhere, all the insecurities and sadness, as well as the happiness at being alive culminated into one. Jenna stroked my head and Campbell licked me affectionately. Not to show compassion but to reassure me that I was going to be fine. When I was finally calm, they sat me down.

They needed to talk about a few things with me. This was something I greatly appreciated and listened very intently.

"You won't shift for the first time until the first full moon after the bite, which should be in about two weeks or so" Jenna explained.

"You'll feel a little disorientated but we'll help you through it" Campbell continued.

I listened to their rules and advice very keenly. Not wanting to miss something to that would be vital to me.

Werewolves living near a town never kill on a hunt which I already knew from Doug's explanations.
But most important of all, we were never shift in front of mortals so they couldn't tell anyone of our existence.

I made note of these things and more. Then, just as I was beginning to accept it all, the door opened and closed. It was Zoe and Arc.

Arc leapt from Zoe's arms, shifted back into his human form and kissed her on the cheek. After all this time, he never ceased to amaze me.

"How you feeling Tay?" He asked me.

"Not too bad Arc, yourself?" I replied.

"Fine, just fine" He said being very nonchalant about it.

I didn't want to point out me and Doug had witnessed just how fine they were so I used my happy-go-lucky smile. I gave Zoe a look saying 'you flirt.' Being the mature young woman she was, she stuck her tongue out at me.

"How are you feeling?" Zoe asked me.

The fascination of finding out if I was alright was always standard procedure. I just wished they could do it when I wasn't in the room.

"Bit scared about my first change, but it shouldn't be too hard" I said trying to keep calm.

"You'll do fine. My aunt Amelia did. Well, until she accidentally ran into an electric fence"

Zoe blushed with embarrassment. I thought about asking how her and Arc managed to get into bed with each other, but I figured now wasn't the time for talking about relationships. Arc grabbed her by the arm and pulled her to the bedroom to save her from herself.

Just then, my favourite person or should I say werewolf walked through the door.

He was still wearing the clothes that were blood stained but I didn't care in the slightest. He embraced me with a hug so strong; if I was human I would have been gasping for air. After a kiss and lick, Doug looked at me with more compassion than he had ever done before.

"I'm so sorry I had to bite you" He said. I could tell he thought I might be angry. But the truth was I wasn't.
"You saved my life. For that, I would let you bite me a hundred times" I replied. His smile widened and after another lick, he put his hand on my cheek.

"You think you're ready for the change?" he asked me.

"As long as you'll be there with me" I replied, looking into his eyes.

He brushed the side of my cheek with his hand.

"I'll be there for all time"

"Good, because so will I"

We kissed again and it felt as the whole world spun around us. Not wasting any time, I grabbed him and we ran into the bedroom. The heat of the moment took us and for the first time, I tore the clothes from Doug.
I suddenly realised that the change was starting to affect me; there was no other explanation for the way I felt. Doug seemed to recognise this, and that only made him want me more. Within minutes we were down to our birthday suits. I sniffed his body and for the first time, I gained his true scent.

The rush it gave me nearly drove me over the edge.

He gently licked my throbbing member then collapsed on the bed ready to be penetrated by my newly enhanced equipment.

A few seconds later, I was completely erect and so without any forewarning, I stuck my firm manhood into Doug. He howled with both pain and pleasure. Then he moaned as I shagged him with all my might and he massaged his throbbing manhood. About two minutes later, he fired his load onto my chest.

Having never seen his seed before, I took a deep sniff of it and felt my sexual arousal rise once more. About thirty seconds later, I could feel myself getting close to the edge.

Then, just as I reached climax, Doug extended his fangs and bit me on the leg. The sudden rush intensified the orgasm tenfold.

I howled with pleasure. And because I had been transformed into a werewolf, it was a real wolven howl. It emerged with such force that if I wasn't overcome with endorphins, I would have been scared of waking the neighbours.

My hot seed filled Doug and he moaned with pleasure right until I pulled myself from his perfectly formed body. When I came out of the bedroom a few minutes later, Campbell and Jenna were still there. Before I could say a word, more howling reached our ears.

"We've got to go. Pack business" he said. He shook mine and Doug's hand, hugged Jenna lightly and walked over to the front door, opening it and carefully walked out onto the pavement. I waved and closed the door, making sure to lock it firmly.

After a few minutes of talking, Jenna decided to leave as well because she had to open her shop for stocktaking. After the door had closed on her, that left the four of us alone.

I was sure that Stephen wouldn't be coming back tonight because he had reconciled with his dad. Doug had to be up early in the morning for work so he went to bed. I stayed up a little while longer.

After getting myself a drink, I stood on the balcony of the flat; I looked out over the town in the midnight hour. I knew that life was going to be different, it was going to be frightening, but it was also going to be better. I knew that over time, I would learn the ways of being a werewolf but for now, I just needed to sleep.

As I said before, I'll never forget the day I first Doug. If I hadn't, I wouldn't know the real meaning of love.
As I kissed him for the last time that night before I got into bed, I felt something happen inside me. I realised that I wanted to spend every living moment with the werewolf lying beside me. It was as if I had been guided to this moment since the day I was born.

In that moment, I knew that I had imprinted on Doug.

-

For a moment, shellshock was prominent in my thoughts. Then, just at the moment subsided; my phone rang. I answered it with a slightly shaking hand.

"Hello?"

"Tay, its Stephen. Doug's been shot"

As soon as the reality of the words kicked in, I started to panic.

"Where?" I said urgently.

"In the alleyway"

Stephen's breath was quick and fast and he was deep in shock.

"I've called Jenna but he's been saying your name"

I dropped the phone in shock and ran out the door without a coat. About half a minute later, I arrived at the alley. There was Doug, covered in his own blood and clutching his arm.

"No!" I yelled and ran over to him.

He was limp and the blood was still flowing from his arm. Only twenty minutes before, he was completely unharmed.

"Who did this?" I asked.

"That would be me" A cold voice said aloud.

I spun on my heels and turned to face a man in his early thirties, he was carrying a small handgun in a hand that was obscured by a leather glove. Judging by this, the man must have been allergic to silver. This made him only one thing. Well one of two but the one was more likely.

Looking back at Doug, I saw his wound had healed. But he still looked drained from the sudden loss of blood. He looked up at me then at the assailant, as soon as he did he gasped. The next word to come out of his mouth was both expected and the last thing I thought I would hear.

"Gregory?"

"That's right Douglas. Been a long time hasn't it?" The man said in the same cold voice as his first sentence had been in.

He laughed slightly and took a few steps closer to his former lover.

Stephen stepped between the two and growled. Gregory didn't move, he only smiled.

"Unless you want to end up in the hospital again mutt, I suggest you back down now"

That was a shocker. I had assumed that Campbell had injured his son, as apparently had Jenna and Doug. Bit since they hadn't made contact as I knew, we had never thought to find out. Stephen whined and backed against the wall. Without thinking, I took his place.

"And you must be the chew toy" Gregory laughed.

"The names Taylor, and I'm no-one's chew toy" I spat.

"Sure, he said that to me decades ago. But he had to go and bite me and turn me into this"

Gregory didn't seem too cut up about it now, but the scarring clearly present on his face indicated it had taken a long time to reach the level of thinking he was on.

Just at that moment, Jenna came round the corner followed by Campbell. It was strange to see them together but they were clearly focused on other things than each other. They both looked amazed at who they saw.

"Well well, here comes the cavalry" Gregory said.

"Gregory? But how?" Jenna gasped.

"Well after your brother bit me, I ran off scared beyond all doubt. But I managed to regain my peace of mind and now I'm back to make sure that he gets his rightful reward for ruining my life"

He pointed the gun towards Doug and everyone in the alley excluding him took a sharp intake of breath. But he didn't shoot. For a minute everyone calmed down but then he spun the gun around and shot Jenna directly in her left leg.

She screamed in agony and fell against Campbell. He held her upright and gently pressed her wound. The bullet had gone straight through and was now lying motionless in a small puddle of rainwater.

"First your sister, then you" Gregory snarled.

He pointed the gun directly at Doug and fired. Without thinking, I leapt into the air in front of him.

The bullet went straight through my chest and I slumped against the nearest wall. Campbell, who had been attending to Jenna turned when he heard the bullet being fired and saw the whole thing.

Campbell was suddenly speechless. A human had saved the life of a werewolf. In all his life, no human had ever shown that kind of selflessness before.

He suddenly realised how jaded he had been and maybe he should have given me and Doug a chance.

But being the strong masculine leader that he was, he realised that it was more important to extinguish the threat first.

A few seconds after I fell to the floor, Doug let out a grief stricken yell.

Before anyone could move, he transformed into his wolf form and howled with sheer rage clearly present in every decibel.

He ran directly at Gregory and slammed him against a row of dustbins. The gun flew from his hand and landed about five feet from Campbell. However, the gun was the last thing on anyone's mind.

Doug grabbed Gregory by the scruff of the neck. But unlike with Arc, there was no mercy.

"Any last words?" he growled.

Gregory burst into hysterical laughter, well as much as he could with a paw over his voice box.
"You've grown a backbone in a few decades" he finally said.

"And you're not the man I fell in love with" Doug growled in reply.

Before either of them could move, Campbell lay Jenna on the ground gently and transformed into his wolf form.

"Get back" he said to Doug.

But before anyone could move, Gregory kicked Doug in his private area causing him to whine and drop his prisoner. The newly free werewolf ran over to his gun. But instead of pointing it at Campbell or Stephen, he pointed it at himself.

"I may not have killed Doug, but at least I killed his new love" he said and without another word, he shot a bullet directly through his heart.

Gregory fell to the floor, it was clear that he had died instantly from the injury.

The gun fell on top of them and being silver, it melted when it touched his skin.

"Ouch" said Stephen.

This left Campbell and Stephen facing each other for the first time since he had left. At least I thought so. But there were another two matters to deal with at this matter. Me and Jenna.

Doug ran over to me and licked my wound gently. Tears were starting to fall from his wolven eyes and they landed on my rapidly bleeding chest. My breathing wasn't the best either and I coughed up blood more times than I cared to count.

Campbell walked over to me in human form and patted his former beta on the shoulder. Doug was so stricken by grief that he didn't even notice.

The alphas voice seemed to be shaken by an emotion I had never heard before. Was it compassion?

"Maybe I was wrong about humans. At least this one" he said to himself.

Campbell rubbed his hand over Doug's shoulder. The wolf began to gently whine with grief. After a few seconds, a weakened but healed Jenna walked over to our group.

"Thanks for looking after me back there" she said.

Campbell turned to face her. He was obviously blushing but he tried to talk like he wasn't.

"You'd have done the same for me" he said. Jenna smiled and gently punched his arm.

"I mean it Campbell. All these years I never thought you would. And yet you did"

The two looked at each other. Then before anyone could move, Jenna drew closer to him, and embraced in the strongest kiss I had ever seen. Stephen looked completely bemused.

After it was over, the two sighed.

"I thought you'd never do that" Campbell said.

"Consider it a thank you" Jenna smiled.

Stephen walked to Jenna and gave her a hug. After it was over, Campbell walked over and the two shared an awkward silence.

"I'm sorry I left" Stephen said finally.

"It's me that should apologise" his father answered.

"Why, you did nothing wrong" Stephen replied.

"Because if I hadn't had been so pig-headed, you wouldn't have left"

The two were silent for a second, and then shook hands. The family bond was now repaired. But there was something else to be settled.

I coughed and wheezed once more. The attention of the whole group was drawn back to me. Campbell turned to face Doug once more.

"Doug, you can save his life. You know what to do"

He did know what to do. But after what had happened, would he do it? I suddenly realised what he meant.
The only way I could heal from this injury was if Doug bit me and I became a werewolf.

A tense silence followed. My boyfriend finally walked up to me and leaned over toward my ear.

"Taylor, do you want me to do this?" he asked.

I was scared, but I wanted to live. There was so much I wanted to do, things I wanted to see. I didn't care if I lived forever or that I could change into a supernatural creature, all I wanted was my life back.

And I wanted Doug to be in that life, for better and for worse.

I coughed once more and after gaining all the strength I had left, I nodded quickly and with determination. It took a while, but Doug opened his wide wolf mouth. Campbell placed my left arm into the gap between his massive teeth and after another brief pause, his teeth clamped down.

The pain went through me like a muscle spasm but I kept myself together until the worst of it had passed. Doug released his teeth from my arm a second later and it was carefully lifted onto the floor. Then from sheer exhaustion, I exhaled sharply and fainted.

Free Story #8 - Guided (Chapter 8)

Maybe I should have been surprised, but honestly, I wasn't. Arc seemed to be so human in the way he acted as a cat that I'd kind of thought there was something not quite feline about him. Zoe however was nonplussed. She kept looking at Arc then back at the wall.

"Why have you been living with us all this time?" I asked.

"I needed somewhere to go after my pack kicked me out" he said sheepishly and shuffled his feet.

"I thought only were-animals ran in packs?"

"Not all the time, they kicked me out when they found out I wasn't a genuine werecat"

So now I knew about werecats. That was another species to add to my radar. But this wasn't the time for celebration.

"I let you sleep on my bed, Eat my food. Then lick me when I needed company" Zoe yelled.

"I was going to tell you but I was afraid you would reject me because I wasn't like you. Seeing as how you did that to every boy you've slept with over the last three years"

That was a mistake. Zoe slapped him across the face and went into her room slamming the door. Cringing as I heard the sound of falling plaster, I saw Arc starting to walk toward the door.

"I think it's best if I leave" he said.

Zoe wasn't ready to forgive him yet but I was.

Even if he had tricked us all, he had only done because he was scared of living alone. After all, he had never attacked us, so why should he now?

"No don't go, she'll come round"

As I said this, I heard the sound of falling from the bedroom. A quick glance at each other was all we needed to investigate as soon as possible.

We opened the door to find Zoe knocked unconscious on the floor. She would be ok but clearly the rage wasn't going to subside quickly like it usually did.

There was only one person I could think of to help us; I just hoped that he would. We put her gently on the bed and left the room.

Picking my mobile out of my jeans, I dialled the number and waited for the call to be answered. About three rings later, a gruff masculine voice echoed down the receiver.

"Hello?"

"Colin, its Taylor. I know its short notice but I really need your help"

There was a moment of silence. At first I thought he had hung up because he didn't exactly owe me any favours.

"I'll be right there" he said gruffly and hung up.

Just when Arc was about to ask what I was up to; the doorbell rang. Opening the door, there was a small antique vase on the doorstep. I took it inside and placed it on the table.

Arc looked at me as if I had gone mad. I gently rubbed the side of the vase with a cloth.

It glowed with a golden aura and thick red smoke poured from it. Arc was completely astonished and didn't move. The smoke drew together in the centre of the room and in a flash of light, a tall red skinned male with black hair stood naked except for a towel wrapped around his waist.

"How may I serve you?" he asked me in a rich voice.

"Knock it off Colin, this isn't the time" I snapped.

"Fine, what seems to be the problem?" he asked in a voice that was as common as muck.

Arc was gob smacked that a genie had appeared in the middle of the room.

He kept trying to speak but kept falling over his words. After he heard the explanation, Colin nodded.

"So basically you want me to make Zoe forget that Arc was ever a cat?" he said.

It was a possibility but not a valid one. I had heard of plenty of times in the past of someone using wishes to erase memories. Needless to say, they had all gone horribly wrong.

"No, all we need is for her to accept the situation we are currently facing a lot faster than she would normally"

Colin stroked his beard. Well goatee.

"I only make the healing easier. I can't take the pain away. Is that ok?"

That was exactly what I wanted. It was also the reason I had asked Colin to do this.

Someone like David or Marina were slightly inexperienced being only two hundred years old. They might have tried to make it go away, but instead caused things to get even worse.

Not so much for their enjoyment but for his own selfish pride, Colin got every wish right. He wasn't a modest genie by any means. I nodded to confirm the question.

"Well then, speak and it shall be so" he said.

"Colin, I wish that you would help Zoe in the way we have agreed"

Colin stretched his arms above his head. But just when he was about to clap them together, I suddenly changed my mind. What was I doing interfering with someone else's emotions?

"Wait! I wish for that wish to not be granted!" I yelled.

He stopped and looked at me. He looked slightly relieved.

"I'm glad you came to your senses. You shouldn't try and mend relationships that way" Colin said in a calm neutral tone. It was strange to hear the words but they were exactly what I had to hear.

"What do I owe you for the inconvenience?" I asked him.

"Nothing. Remember the favour you helped me with?"

"The whole thing with Marina?"

"Yeah, if you hadn't helped me, she would have died"

Smiling slightly at his sudden display of gratitude, I shook Colin by the hand. He smiled, winked at Arc and clapped his hands together. Colin became red smoke then poured himself back into the vase and it disappeared in a flash of light. Arc looked at me.

"Why did you stop him?" he asked.

"Because we shouldn't try to fix Zoe that way. I'll try to talk her round in a minute. She'll see reason eventually"

Arc smiled and a relieved smile crossed his face.

"How can I ever thank you?" he asked.

"Never leave hairballs in my bedroom ever again" I replied.

Arc laughed. He then gave me a big hug. Completely taken by surprise, I pushed him away from me but apologised a second later.

It was then that I heard low growling. That seemed to rumble from deep inside something large. Something inhuman.

Spinning around, I noticed I hadn't closed the door properly. The wind must have blown it open. It was practically against the wall behind it.

Standing half transformed in the doorway, was Doug.

And he didn't look friendly.

*

For a second, I wondered Doug was so angry. Arc started to back toward the wall, fear present in his sapphire coloured eyes.

"Doug, what the hell are you doing?" I asked him.

He looked at me for a second and snarled. Then, it occurred to me that he might have got the wrong idea about the hug Arc had given me only seconds before.

Doug completely transformed into his wolf form and walked over to Arc. His body was tense and ready for battle. Without forewarning, he slammed his paw against Arc's neck and pressed down very hard.

"What the fuck were you doing with my boyfriend?" he growled.

If it had been possible, I would have jumped about three foot into the air. The fact that werewolves could speak in wolf form was something I hadn't known.

"Nothing I swear" Arc gasped. His face was filling with blood.

Doug clearly didn't believe him because he pressed down harder on his throat for a second.

"And you expect me to believe that? I've saw what happened"

Arc's eyes were bulging out of his sockets. If I didn't do something soon, he would be dead. But how could I stop him? An idea sprung into my head and because Arc's life was in danger, I didn't pause to think of the consequences.

Running to the kitchen, I pulled a bucket from the cupboard beneath the sink and filled it with cold water.
As soon as it was full, I ran over to Doug and threw it all over him.

He howled in surprise and let go of Arc.

Just at that moment, Zoe opened her bedroom door to see what the noise was all about. Arc didn't waste time. He transformed into his cat form and ran into the room. Zoe looked at me for a second in confusion.
I tried to give her a look that said 'keep him safe'. When Zoe saw my jealous boyfriend running toward her door, she understood what I meant and slammed it shut. Doug tried to pull on the brakes but the sheer size of his wolf form meant that he slammed into the door. He collapsed to the floor unconscious.

As I watched, he shifted back into his human form, with a massive bruise on his temple. I laid him on the sofa and put a cold flannel on his head. A few minutes later, the bruise was gone and he awoke. For a second he looked confused, and then his anger returned. This time, I stood in front of the bedroom door. Doug strode over and stood three feet from me.

"Stand back" he growled.

"Doug, it was harmless"

"A likely story" he spat.

"Did you know Arc was a shifter?" I asked him.

Doug suddenly realised that the cat that had run into the room was identical to the one he had smiled at.
"I do now. But that doesn't give him the right to kiss you" he retorted.

"He didn't kiss me! It was a hug to thank you for offering to help Zoe"

Doug's expression still remained unconvinced.

"And why should I believe that?" he asked.

"Because I love you and I wouldn't lie to you" I answered.

For the first time, he looked into my eyes. He could see that I was being honest, that nothing had happened and that it was purely innocent. It was then that he believed me. He could also see that his rage at Stephen being attacked had made him nearly kill someone for a crime they hadn't committed.

"Taylor, I'm so sorry" Doug said slowly and carefully. His anger and pain were quickly turning into grief and sorrow.

I moved closer to him and wrapped my arms around his chest. A moment later, he started sobbing onto my shoulder. When he had calmed down, I wiped his tears away with a lick and kissed his cheek.

"I was so scared that I had lost you, just like I nearly lost Stephen, and how I lost Gregory. He was everything to me and he ran away because he couldn't cope with what I had done to him"

After rubbing his back, I smiled and tapped him on the nose.

"Doug Henshaw, that was an accident. You won't ever lose me"

His eyes looked swollen after his emotional outburst so he rubbed them gently. I suddenly realised just how many time we had shed tears, both happy and sad in our relationship. To me, it wasn't important.

It showed we were open and trusting. Doug's jealousy had only been temporary due to the grief of nearly losing Stephen.

Speaking of the recovering werewolf, he walked through the door and smiled. He was carrying a small bag in the one hand and a Chinese takeaway box in the other.

"Anyone fancy a chinky?"

Me and Doug nodded and smiled. He stepped through the door and took it through to the kitchen.

"Where are the plates?" he asked.

"Top cupboard by the washing machine" I replied.

Doug smiled at me and licked me gently.

"Before we eat, I need to apologise to Arc" Doug said calmly.

After nodding in approval, we went to Zoe's bedroom door. We knocked but heard no answer. Worried, I turned the knob and we looked inside. What we saw made us do a double take. Arc was human again and shagging Zoe brainless. We quickly closed the door. A few seconds later, we both started laughing at both each other's expressions, and the sheer surprise of the situation.

"I think I'd better wait a bit" Doug laughed.

"Yeah I think so" I smirked.

We went into the kitchen to find three steaming plates of chicken chow mein, egg fried rice and chips. Stephen picked up his own plate, grabbed a fork from the drawer and sat on the sofa.

Me and Doug both followed suit and we switched on the TV. An episode of Will and Grace was on. As we watched, I hoped to myself that me and Doug weren't a stereotypical gay couple. But then again, I couldn't think of anything that was stereotypical in a relationship between a human and a werewolf.

That night was the start of a few weeks of nothing but a normal life. Well if you can call some supernatural things normal. It was just what I always wanted. A boyfriend I loved more than anything and a set of friends I wouldn't trade for the world.

The next full moon since we met finally came around. Things between me and Doug were as great as ever and Stephen, Doug and Jenna were proving to be the best friends I could ever ask for. Because of the special occasion, Jenna, Stephen and Doug were planning to go to a pack meeting at the nearby forest and I was going to stay in with a good book and a few cans of Vimto.

It was late evening and just as I was poured myself my first cup of Vimto, a noise even more terrifying than a howl rang through the flat. The sound of a gun being fired.

Free Story #7 - Guided (Chapter 7)

Another sex scene in this part. Just so you know :)

-

After the brief visit of my friend, I resumed sitting down in front of the TV. Watching a program on how to fix a kitchen sink wasn't my idea of fun. So I tuned it to an episode of True Blood. Looking at the handsome figure of Alcide Herveaux, I smiled and thought I had finally found one that was mine and mine alone.

A couple of hours later, there was a knock at the door. Looking through the peep hole, I saw Doug standing there for the second time in the space of a few hours. He was looking at beautiful as ever and I could smell more Calvin Klein all over him.

I wondered if he used the Calvin Klein to block the smell of wolf from humans around him as he would probably set off a few hormones with his transformations. Sometimes he did use the spray and sometimes he didn't. Maybe it depended on how long he stayed in his other form or maybe he forgot to buy a refill. I opened the door and embraced him in a big hug. He accepted the embrace and hugged me back.

"That was quick" I joked.

"Did you miss me?" he asked.

"Yeah, I did" I replied and licked the side of his face which he repeated with great finesse.

After another mind-blowing kiss, we stood admiring each other again for a moment. Turning off the TV, we went into my bedroom.

When I closed the door, I stripped down to my pants and went to grab my boxer shorts. Doug didn't turn away as I got changed and a few seconds later, I was wearing them. Doug didn't have a pair of boxer shorts I let him borrow one of mine. As we got into my double bed, I found it very strange to have someone in bed with me.

It was like finding out you have a spot or a hair in an unusual place, it wasn't painful but it was slightly different. We turned to face each other and licked each other once more.

"So how was the meeting?" I asked.

"We transformed, went for a hunt, then I came here" he explained.

"Did you get anything?" Doug looked surprised at the question but gave me an answer.

"No, we don't generally eat anything, we just hunt for fun. If we did kill animals we'd have to find a new place to live every time because of people trying to find us"

Doug gently nibbled my ear and I returned the favour. He then started rubbing against me like a dog pleading for attention. I suddenly realised that he was practically begging for release. So, I would have to help him out else I would have a hyperactive lycan in bed all night. For a minute, I smirked to myself thinking some people have to walk a dog; I have to shag a werewolf.

"Okay then, on you get" I said and pushed back the duvet so Doug could get on top of me.

Thirty seconds later, Doug was erect and inside me. It didn't feel as uncomfortable or painful like the first time. But oh my god, it felt just good as he thrust inside me and stroked my own erection. After a few minutes of this, I felt the same feral pleasure kick in again. The second time it wasn't so intense but it was still very potent. So I moaned and moved in perfect sync with him in order to keep myself intact. Five minutes later, I felt myself give in to the waves of pleasure and came.

I let myself go all over his chest with a yell of pleasure. He rubbed it into himself and thrust faster until a few seconds later when he howled with ecstasy and let himself go into me. After we cleaned up, we snuggled under the duvet and within minutes, we had both fallen asleep.

The next morning, I woke to find myself alone. Not as surprised as I could have been I went to the kitchen and found a note on the fridge. I read it as if it was a shopping list, but my face dropped from a look of mild interest to a look of deep horror and disgust.

Hey Taylor,
Stephen was found seriously injured last night. We have gone to the hospital to get him checked over.
I love you
Doug

There were no pictures of the injuries attached to the letter. I grabbed a few microwave sausages out the fridge for my breakfast, set the timer on the oven and closed the door.

When it was just about edible, I got them out, placed them between two slices of buttered bread and went to sit down at the sofa.

Being very cautious about where I put my feet was a priority because my body was shaking with anxiety. Although the fear was found less, I found myself wondered if my sense of gravity and balance would betray me at any instant. Just as my rear touched the sofa, the doorbell rang.

Awakened from my worrying about Stephen, I went to the door and opened it cautiously. It was Jenna; she was wearing the same clothes from that last time we met and looked as though she hadn't slept a wink.
To be honest, I would have been the same if I had known about the situation.

But being not of pack, so to speak, how was the knowledge supposed to reach me?

"Come in" I offered and Jenna sat down on the sofa.

There were several minutes of silence and when I offered to give her the sausage sandwich as sustenance she refused with a gently shake of her head.

"Is he going to be alright?"

"He's going to be fine" she replied after a minute or two.

"We had to give him some of our blood. Just to ensure that the healing process accelerated fast enough for him to survive. I just don't understand why Campbell would want to do this to his own son"

Her words seemed to come not without effort, and it caused her to breathe excessively. I could tell that giving her own blood had caused mental and physical side-effects but common sense dictated that speaking of these would be facetious to say the least. I sat down next to her and put my arm around her for comfort. Being almost a stranger to me didn't matter, she needed comfort and I was the only one here. She looked at me with tears starting in her eyes. I stroked her hair gently and she gently sobbed into my chest.

"Jenna, I'm so sorry. If I hadn't suggested it then this wouldn't have happened"

It was my turn to be on the verge of sobs. Jenna however, seemed to have got some of her old confidence back.

"It's not your fault; it was our choice to become a pack. Now Stephen and Doug are with me, there is nothing to stop us being who we are"

In that moment, I felt as a great cloud had been lifted from my mind. As if the forgiveness alone had freed me from my inner torment.

That of course and Jenna's reasoning was right. I didn't force them to do it, they did it themselves. The doorbell rang again ceasing my inner monologue once more. Jenna gave a look at me and I nodded.
She went over to the door and looked through the hole. Smiling with delight, she opened the door and found Doug standing there with an almost fully healed Stephen in tow.

His blond hair had been stained with his own blood but it didn't matter for now. The most important thing was that he was alive and nothing could overtake that at this moment in time.

I smiled at Stephen and he smiled back. Even without being able to know his thoughts, I knew that he didn't blame me and neither did Doug.

Doug kissed and licked me. He looked so relieved that his pack mate was alive that I repeated it without hesitation. He'd been through enough without causing me him unnecessary grief. For a second, no-one said anything and eventually Jenna and Stephen went into the bedroom.

"How are you doing?" I asked. It was a stupid question I knew but it was the only one that seemed right to say.

"Not too bad. Bit drained from the blood loss but nothing a good steak won't cure"

I wondered if he meant raw or cooked but decided that asking would have seemed a bit intrusive and maybe even a little bit racist. Was it possible to be racist to a werewolf? I assumed so seeing as how you could be to other minority groups.

"I thought only vampires give each other blood?" I asked him with a curious tone in my voice.

"We only use it in life threatening circumstances. The hospital staff didn't even realise that we had because Jenna was able to stall them in the hospital using her magic"

For a minute there I had to do a double take.

"What?" I asked him.

"She's a half werewolf. Her mother was a witch and her father was a werewolf"

"So she's your half-sister?" I asked him.

"In a way, but she still feels like a full sister because of the wolf connection and now that's she's my alpha, the connection is even stronger"

I knew that he didn't mean incest but still, the fact of growing stronger through a blood bond was a little bit weird even for me. But I reminded myself I saw supernatural occurrences nearly every day so it was time to let things be.

I wondered why Jenna had seemed different to the others and why she wasn't part of the pack that Doug and Stephen used to belong to.

Maybe Campbell didn't like witches as well as humans.

I wondered at that moment if it was true hate or if he simply didn't want to trust them. Stephen and Jenna came out of the room with relief written all over them.

Clearly the fact that it happened had shaken them up but they had decided that now no-one was bonded to Campbell's pack, it was better for everyone.

A loud barking brought me to my senses and looking down I noticed that all of three of them had shifted into wolf form. I smiled in spite of my own surprise and took them to the woods in my car so they could enjoy themselves.

Watching them play and hunt was fascinating and for a second, I almost felt like singing 'Part of your World' from The Little Mermaid.

As much as I loved being human, part of me longed to belong to a pack like them, run wild and play with no real responsibilities.

In fact a few lines of the reprise did slip through my lips. The bit where Ariel is sat on the rock watching Eric after she has saved his life. About half an hour later, they ran back to me panting and indicating toward the car. It was about seven o'clock and already dark, so hiding them wasn't going to be a problem.

I got them in again somehow and when I got back to the flat, they shifted back into human form. They washed themselves over then Jenna and Doug left because they had to go to work.

Jenna worked in a small fashion shop just in the middle of town according to her brother. Stephen stayed behind for a second which surprised me slightly.

"Aren't you going back home?" I asked.

"My dad threw me out because I left his pack" he replied.

"I'm so sorry" I said.

Stephen smiled and looked at me with an expression that seemed to say it was fine and not to worry. It was then that I made up my mind. We had a spare bedroom for guests and seeing as how Zoe didn't have anyone over, I offered to let him stay for a while if he wanted to. He looked at me with a hint of surprise.

"Are you sure?"

"Sure I'm sure. It's the least I can do" I replied.

A broad smile of gratitude went across his face and he embraced me in a hug. I found it hard not to push him away because we weren't that close. But I felt like he needed this, so I let him continue until he was ready to let go.

"I'll go and get my stuff from home. Dad's away on pack business so it should be alright" Stephen said and in a moment, he had gone.

As I tidied up the room, Zoe came back with Arc in her arms. She looked as though she had seen a ghost which was unusual for her.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Arc isn't what we think he is" She gasped. I looked down at the cat but in a flash of energy, the cat was gone replaced by a very tall twenty year old man wearing nothing by his birthday suit.

"Taylor, I'm not just a cat, I'm a shape-changer"
